Order the cherry version of the Premier Acoustic Tower Speakers today! You will be very pleased with the way they're packaged. Unpacking the boxes reveals excellent fit and finish quality. You can place these speakers in any room in your apartment or house because they are furniture quality in appearance. They unequivocally DO NOT look "cheap". Allow 30-40 hours of break-in time before critical listening. From that point on the speakers will reveal the delicate layering of cymbals, a snare drum's cadence, and a whole lot more. Once again -- to MAXIMIZE the potential of these beauties YOU SHOULD use quality components. MY Onkyo DX-390 cd changer cost about $160 (delivered) from 6th. Avenue.com. I have it paired to a factory remanufactured Harmon Kardon 3470 receiver (100 watts rms per channel) purchased from the Harmon Store on e-bay for $192 (delivered).Outlaw Audio.com sells excellent copper analog .5 meter interconnects for $50. I substituted the receiver's nickel jumpers which connect the pre-amp to the amp with Audioquest Python Jumpers. I'm using good quality Monster bi-wired speaker cables purchased from a local audio store for $200. I added a $125 (delivered Price) DuaL 12" subwoofer found on e-bay to fill out the bottom end. The sub is made in China and it's very good, too! My components fit easily within a sturdy Lovan audio rack. Everything works very, very, well together! It really sounds very fine. You can do the same and -- maybe for less $$$. Use pricescan.com to compare internet e-tailers. Be skeptical -- don't be ignorant!! The Premier Acoustic Speakers (cherry version) look and sound great. However, your associated equipment must be of good quality and compatible to MAXIMIZE their full potential. Once again -- I'm NOT in any way affiliated with Lloyd or Premier Acoustic. Relaxing to good quality sound is a joy everyone should be able to experience. The Premier Acoustic Tower speakers are analogous to buying a well designed Honda or Toyota. They're mainstream, affordable, look good, and personify good dollar value. There is nothing more to be said.

As far as the critical listening. I did a lot of that over the weekend. I set my receiver to source direct mode, which pretty much gives me a clean audio path with no eq or anything put in by the receiver, it also cuts out the subwoofer. I also set my towers to large. Here is a list of cd's I played on them. Ben Harper-Both Sides of the Gun Diana Krall-From This Moment On Chris Botti-Night Sessions Ray Charles-Genius Loves Company Metallica-Black album Mighty Mighty Bosstones-Lets Face It Nickelback-All the Right Reasons Busta Rhymes-The Big Bang And a couple of Trans Siberian Orchestra cd's So as you can see, I played a very wide variety of music on them, and all of the cd's I am very familiar with. The towers have really livened up and sound better than the day I hooked them up. Like I have stated before, imaging is superb, the soundstage is big, I moved them a little further apart, that helped with the soundstage even more. The detail and clarity that comes out of the tweeter is really some of the best that I have heard in my home. And the bass is tight and accurate. I pushed them pretty hard and never once did they distort or sound harsh. I am more and more impressed by the day with these speakers. Love them. PA has a winner on their hands with the entire system. I also now have the surrounds on my wall. They replaced a pair of PSB Image surrounds. They PA surrounds really out performed my PSB surrounds hands down. I played one of my favorite demo scenes from Saving Private Ryan, the bridge battle at the end. I felt like ducking for cover a couple of times. They sounded that real and dynamic. I am sold on the PA system, soon to have dual PA-12W subs. So for those of you who are interested in a great performing tower at an unbelievable price, you should put the PA-6F tower on your list, along with the rest of the line. I am going to have the entire 7.1 set up. Or 7.2 if you count the dual subs. )
